Oxford-Style Debate
“Resolved: ObamaCare gives the federal government too much control over Americans’ health care.” With that resolution, the 2010 Colorado Health Symposium undertook its first Oxford-style debate. The debate took on a new approach with Engaged Public’s innovative use of keypad polling to get the audience involved. Debaters included journalist T.R. Reid, the Heritage Foundation’s Stuart Butler, former Governor Richard Lamm and Colorado Attorney General John Suthers. The debate was co-moderated by Colorado Health Foundation CEO Anne Warhover and Chris Adams, president of Engaged Public. Click here to watch the video.
